Eating on Mars & Feeding Canberra
The ACT Government will soon finalise its inaugural Food Strategy. Expectations are running high that it heralds new energy in Canberra’s food system. Consumer citizens want more say over the food they eat and to know it’s sustainably produced. Everyone has the right to access sufficient nutritious and affordable food. But maintaining our food security will be fraught with growing disruption to our national supply chain.

Our food system practitioners must bring the food strategy’s objectives to life. It’s timely then to consider the ‘how’ and the ‘who’ of improving our city’s access to sustainable food.
